Tango
This is me during a tango lesson with my Barbara Bui shoes I bought in Buenos Aires.
This picture brings back some happy, very happy memories and unfortunately some sad ones as well, since I broke my foot in June and don't know if I'll be able to dance tango again... I don't mean professionnally of course... for me tango was a hobby but also a passion. I took it up in October last year and after a few lessons I was hooked...
It's quite a hard dance to learn at first, not hard in the sense of there being many steps to learn but you have to be very careful about your posture, and perhaps the most important thing, being totally in tune with your partner.
Is tango a macho dance? Well, certainly its origins are the brothels of Buenos Aires and the man has to lead his partner, but it's a dance that keeps evolving, with "tango nuevo" for example. It's an excellent way to totally connect with your partner.
I miss dancing so much... hopefully one day (in a not too distant future!) I'll be able to dance again. I can't wait!
